How much does a yacht charter cost?

30% of the charter fee, paid before departure. Covers fuel, docking, F&B, beverages, laundry. Transparent reconciliation at the end; balance refunded.

03

Taxes and gratuities

VAT varies by flag and itinerary, usually 10-22%. Customary crew gratuity: 10-15% of the charter fee, at your discretion.

FAQ

Why such a price gap between yachts of the same size?+

Year, shipyard, crew, equipment (water toys, jet-skis, submersible, helipad), recent refit. A recent 50m Lürssen costs 4× a 15-year-old 50m.

Is fuel included?+

No. Fuel runs through APA. Roughly €1,000-2,000/day at cruising speed for a 25m, up to €10,000/day for a superyacht in transit.

Any hidden fees?+

No. The MYBA contract itemises everything: charter fee, APA, taxes, delivery/redelivery. Your broker walks every line with you.

Is the price negotiable?+

Off-season: yes, 10-15% discounts are common. July-August: the best boats go at list, sometimes with a peak premium.
