Lagoon, the world's luxury catamaran leader

Born from the Jeanneau-Beneteau merger, the Lagoon yard (Bénéteau group) produces 400+ catamarans annually in Bordeaux. The Lagoon 46, 51, 55 and 65 models dominate both private ownership and charter markets — a guarantee of resale liquidity.

A Lagoon offers 30-50% more living space than an equivalent-length monohull, unmatched stability at anchor, and half the fuel consumption of a same-length motor yacht.

Pre-owned market: values and trends

A 2018 Lagoon 50 trades today between €850,000 and €1,100,000, a Lagoon 52F between €1,100,000 and €1,400,000. Resale value remains exceptionally stable: a Lagoon catamaran typically loses 25-30% in 5 years, vs 40-50% for an equivalent motor yacht.

Demand sustainably exceeds supply on 46-55 ft models, largely driven by charter-management buyers placing their catamaran with Dream Yacht, The Moorings or Sunsail.

Our buy-side process

Programme definition (private cruising, charter-management, blue-water). Shortlist of 3-5 candidates across European and Caribbean markets. Remote pre-survey with video report. Full survey with independent marine expert. Negotiation, MYBA contract, registration under chosen flag (France, Malta, Marshall Islands).

For buyers interested in charter placement, we connect with two MYBA operators and present net 5-year income projections.

« Martin negotiated our Lagoon 52F on a yacht located in Croatia, handled Malta-flag registration and charter onboarding with a serious operator. All within 11 weeks. »
