Physical visit (engine room, hull, electronics, interior, rig or equipment), photo survey, then a written, evidenced valuation report.
Two distinct figures: realistic sale price (today's market) and insured replacement value. Stop confusing the two.
Too many brokers inflate the valuation to win the mandate, then drop the price month after month. We do the opposite: tight market valuation, mandate owned, effective sale within 3-6 months in the announced range.
Valuation rests on three converging sources: 24-month comparable transactions (YachtBroker and MYBA databases), active competing inventory on YachtWorld and The Yacht Market, and macro perspective (rates, EUR/USD, seasonality).
Model year (vs build year, which may differ), engine hours, current flag, charter history, upholstery and gangway condition, documented recent refit, premium equipment (stabilisers, IPS, helipad). Each line can move value 5-15%.
The 2025 market remains tight on 45-55 ft catamarans and 60-80 ft motor yachts. Conversely, 50-60 ft sport cruisers have been under downward pressure for 18 months.
Indicative valuation within 48-72h based on submitted elements (spec sheet, photos, service log). Definitive valuation after physical inspection and captain interview. No fee before mandate signature.
Valuation is free and without commitment. If the range doesn't suit you, you remain free. If it does, we discuss mandate terms (duration, exclusivity, communication).
« Valuation received at €1.15M, sold at €1.12M in 4 months. Three other brokers promised us €1.40M — a year later nothing had sold with them. »

Yes — no fee, no commitment. We invest the time on trust: if you decide to sell, you'll think of us. If not, you walk away with a precise report.
7 business days after the physical visit. For a desk valuation (photos and history only), 48 hours.
Market value is what a buyer will actually pay today. Insured value covers replacement or repair, and is almost always 15-40% higher.
No. The valuation comes with no obligation. If you do appoint us, standard brokerage terms apply (10% commission, split with co-broker if relevant).
3-9 months for a well-positioned unit. Overpriced yachts can linger 18-24 months and eventually sell 25% below initial value. Right valuation is the primary sale accelerator.
No for valuation. Yes for marketing: cleaned upholstery, depersonalised interior, professional dockside and at-sea photography. We coordinate everything.
MYBA standard: 10% of sale price ex-VAT, shared with the buyer's broker if any. No fee on no-sale.
