Ferretti: higher-end finish, better seakeeping, 15-25% pricier new. Azimut Fly: airier design, more accessible price.
5-year depreciation?+
25-35% on recent models (post-2018). Older stylistically dated units depreciate faster. Recent 720/780 hold particularly well.
Should I prefer MTU engines?+
On 720+, yes. MTU offers better torque, durability and resale value. MAN remains valid on 500-670.
What to check on a used Ferretti?+
Engine history (hours, services), gensets, gelcoat (southern Italy = intense UV), hydraulic gangway, A/C. Survey is mandatory.
